Did you know drivers can pay for on-street and surface lot parking using cash or card at the new pay stations or by using the Parkedin app?

The app allows payment by credit card on a phone or a computer for City-owned parking locations.

Japanese beetles (Popillia japonica) have been detected in Kamloops. This beetle poses a risk to lawns, parks, green spaces, and agriculture.

The Japanese beetle is oval-shaped, approximately 10 mm long and 6 mm wide, has a metallic green head and thorax, and distinctive white tufts of hair along the sides and rear of the abdomen.

🍃 Signs of damage on your plants may include lacy, skeletonized leaves or large, irregularly shaped chewed portions on some flowers.

👉 Please report Japanese beetle sightings or feeding damage to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.

Eutierria comes from Australian environmental philosopher Glenn A. Albrecht, who created the word to describe a positive feeling of oneness with the Earth and its life forces
It’s the harmony we feel when the separation between human and nature dissolves…. when we remember we are not on the Earth, but of her
The quiet awareness that everything is connected
A word for coming home to the living Earth that created you
