We can't believe we are at that time of the year when we start ramping up to Election Gala week and introducing our 2026 Candidates!
So here we go! Enjoy getting to know a bit more about each spectacular youth!
First up is Chisom Ezeonyejiaku.
Chisom is a 16-year-old Grade 11 student at St. Ann's Academy. She is actively involved in her school and community through basketball, choir, leadership, and volunteer work. As the founder and president of her school's Multicultural Club, she is passionate about creating connections and celebrating diversity.
Supported by her family and sponsor, InspireHealth, Chisom joined the Ambassador Program to strengthen her connection to Kamloops and give back to the community that has welcomed her.
Inspired by the women who have guided her throughout her life, Chisom hopes to be a positive role model for younger girls and encourage them to believe in themselves. After graduation, she plans to pursue a career in nursing as a Nurse Practitioner or Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).
To her fellow candidates, Chisom shares: "Whether or not we end up in that sparkly purple dress like our Ambassadors Shae, Peyton, and Lizzie, I hope we can all promise to be a light for the little girls in our community and help guide them through the stages of life we once experienced ourselves. In a world where many girls struggle to name a role model, I hope we can be that answer and that light. Good luck to you all!"
You are a shining light Chisom! And we're so happy you joined us this year!!!
