We're excited to welcome our local bee inspector, Stephan Pawloski, to the field day. Stephan will be demonstrating what a hive inspection looks like from an inspector's perspective and will share insights into what inspectors look for when evaluating a colony. He will also be available throughout the session to answer any questions you may have about hive health, inspections, and beekeeping regulations.

Yes we know it’s late for a swarm.

Hey lovers of honeybees, here’s an opportunity to help a poor citizen, boost public perceptions of our club, and get some more bees!
A swarm seems to have established in a plastic composter in Upper Sahali. The homeowner, Doug Brown, is wanting them relocated.
If you can do this for him, your reward will be a new colony of bees (possibly with some honey), and heaps of gratitude!
Phone 250-314-7474 for Doug. If you would like to talk to someone who has done this, you can call Rob Hunter 250-214-5474 (I’ll even give you some empty frames in which to place recovered comb).
