Next week is our Love Feast and we are excited to hear from Jocelyn Wetmore about how God has been moving in her life.

We will be cooking pasta and will be looking for some donations, especially of hamburger. If you’re able to help with donating some of these items, comment below or message our page or Ryan. We’ve been running about 30 people at Youth this year, so it’ll be a large group! The goal is to prepare the meal from scratch together to gain some cooking skills then share it together to fellowship together with God

Here’s the list of items:

Ground Beef: 5 to 6 lbs

Canned Crushed Tomatoes or Tomato Sauce: 7 large cans (28 oz each)

Alfredo Sauce: 3 to 4 jars

Yellow Onions: 3 large onions

Assorted Pasta Shapes: 6 to 7 lbs total

Bread for Garlic Bread: 3 to 4 French or Italian loaves

Garlic Spread: 1 to 2 tubs

Romaine Lettuce: 6 to 7 heads (or four 3-packs of hearts)

Caesar Dressing: 2 large bottles (16 oz each)

Croutons: 2 to 3 bags (5–6 oz each)

It is crazy it is already almost Thanksgiving and this week is our first “normal” week of youth! We’ll be starting our series on how to connect with God, and at the end of the month we’ll be taking part in what the early church called a “Love Feast”.

We had an amazing time at Caton’s Island for our spiritual retreat - God showed up in the lives of our students and there were a couple times where spontaneous worship broke out!

What is a Love Feast!? We're having one on October 28th!
A Methodist Love Feast—sometimes called an Agape Feast (from an ancient word meaning unconditional love)—is a casual, friendly gathering where people share a meal, talk about their lives, and support one another.
Unlike formal religious ceremonies with strict rules, a Love Feast is completely informal. It is modeled after simple, shared meals from history and was popularized in the 1700s by John Wesley, the founder of the Methodist movement.
What Happens at a Love Feast?

**Simple Food and Drink**
We will be cooking a meal together and setting a table together. Everyone gets to play a part in serving each other. The focus stays on the people around you.

**Sharing Stories and Gratitude**
While eating, people take turns speaking to the group. They share quick personal stories, talk about things they are thankful for, or mention challenges where they could use encouragement and support from their friends. We’ll then pray for them.

**Music and Hanging Out**
The gathering usually includes singing uplifting songs, taking a moment to reflect together, and enjoying free time to talk and get to know each other better.

**Why Do People Hold Them?**
The main goal of a Love Feast is community and connection. It is designed to be completely welcoming: anyone can join in, no matter who they are or what they believe.

Youth Group will not be running tonight.

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is a time to honour residential school Survivors, remember the children who never came home, and learn about the ongoing impacts of residential schools on Indigenous Peoples, families, and communities.

Whether you engage through learning, conversation, reflection, or attending community events, every action helps build a deeper understanding of truth and reconciliation. We encourage you to take time on September 30 to listen, learn, and reflect.
