The Road to Fairbanks 2028 Starts Now!

The road to the 2028 Arctic Winter Games begins today, and Alaska Speedskating is looking for the next generation of athletes to represent Team Alaska on home ice!

We are searching for 16 dedicated skaters who are ready to commit to training for the 2028 Arctic Winter Games.

Team Selection Goals:
🔹 U15 Boys – Up to 4 skaters
🔹 U15 Girls – Up to 4 skaters
🔹 U19 Boys – Up to 4 skaters
🔹 U19 Girls – Up to 4 skaters

Eligibility:
✅ Must be at least 12 years old by December 31, 2027

Whether you're already racing or have experience in skating and want to take the next step, this is your opportunity to train alongside Alaska's top athletes and work toward representing our state at one of the biggest winter sporting events in the Arctic.
The journey to Fairbanks 2028 starts now. Dedication, hard work, and commitment over the next two years can earn you the chance to compete in front of family, friends, and your home state.
