The Toonik Tyme Puzzle Building Competition took place last evening at Abe Okpik Hall. Participants chose between a 500 or 1000 piece category of puzzles from Inuit artists of Kinngait.

500 piece category:

1st - Florence , Jordan & James (1 hour 30 mins 45 seconds )

2nd - Emily , David & Ilimali

(2 hours and 55 minutes)

3rd - Julia , Martha & Tiina

(3 hours )

1000 piece category:

1st - Grace, Laura & Camryn

(3 hours and 1 minute )

2nd - Melissa, Melissa & Saalia

(3 hours and 30 minutes)

3rd - Papatsi , Kunuk, & Aluki

(3 hours and 35 minutes)

Qujannamiik to Andrea Anderson for organizing this event, the City of Iqaluit Recreation for donating the space and 123 Go for providing the puzzles and prize amounts!

This Saturday the fishing derby and outdoor games will be held at Imiqtarvimminiq Lake.

Fishing derby registration starts at 10 am and final measurements at 3 pm.

Outdoor games will start at 1 pm.
