This year our nation will celebrate Indigenous Peoples Day on Sunday, June 21st, 2026.
This is a time to recognize and celebrate the rich cultures, heritage, and outstanding contributions of Indigenous peoples across Canada and particularly within our own Qikiqtani Region.
At Kakivak Association we support the economic growth and well-being of Inuit in our region through a variety of programs and services that expand access to early learning opportunities, create and support new training initiatives, build the community infrastructure of tomorrow, help Inuit start or expand a business, and see our young people have access to funding for their post-secondary education. Kakivak’s initiatives ensure a bright future for the Inuit of the Qikiqtani Region.
In celebration and recognition of Indigenous Peoples Day, Kakivak Association offices will be closed all day on Monday, June 22, 2026.
