Iindòo tr'eedàh recently collaborated with East Three Secondary to deliver a program called Weaving Generations: Passage to Womanhood. Over five days together we worked with vadzaih, dinjik, daih, and geh. We started sewing slippers, collected spruce gum, set snares, collected firestarter, collected tea, made bannock, made drymeat, and made tree gum medicine.
We discussed womanhood, motherhood, relationships, traditional knowledge, gwich'in legends, dinjii zhuh ginjik, environmental stewardship, mental health supports, physical, emotional, and spiritual wellness.
Mahsi cho to all that made this program possible! We truly enjoyed the week with tr'iinjoo kat.
