Welcome to Cookstown Scandinavian Market! The Market occurs twice a year to start off the Easter-Spring season and the Christmas Season. Inhale the sweet smell of freshly baked Scandinavian specialties. Browse through the delicious assortment of breads and treats, coffee bread (pulla), homemade donuts, Karelian rice pies (Karjalan piirakat) and many other Scandinavian goodies. There is also a wide range of homemade gifts and imported candy.

Thank you everyone for participating and coming to support our Spring market! 🧡

It was an amazing day, we were delighted to see so many familiar faces, as well as new customers who found our market this year! 😊

We will have our annual Christmas Market in November, stay tuned for an update on the exact date. For now, i wish you all a blessed Spring and Easter time! 🐣🙏🏼

We are always trying to bake as much as we can in a short one/two day window! Some items we are able to prebake and freeze and bake freshly the night before or on the morning of the market.
Everything is handmade by our church members. 🧡

This year we made close to 400 pullapitkos, regular, cinnamon and vanilla filled.

On top of that, there is also many different kind of small pullas.
Cinnamon buns, quark pulla, blueberry pulla, vanilla almond pulla… 👌🏽

Pulla is traditional, highly popular Finnish sweet, cardamom spiced coffee bread. It’s definitely the most loved item here at our market every year and season. 🧡

We are open from 2pm until 8pm, tables are full of traditional Scandinavian baked goods, homemade crafts, candies and chocolates, cafe with delicious desserts and we serve homemade meatball dinner all day!

Ovens have been hot from early morning hours until late night! Everything we sell is made by our church members.
