Kudos to everyone who helped make the Pumpkin Walk a triumph! We can’t wait to share our pics of the night with you. But first? The 50-mile Yard Sale happening tomorrow from 11am - 2pm (or longer, if vendors desire!) Feel free to use the map below as a guideline. Please use extra caution when driving and pulling over to stop at tables, as driveways and parking lots can become crowded.

Some locations will have food for sale, and many excellent local restaurants/takeouts are still open, so you can grab a bite for your roadtrip adventure!

Happy Treasure Hunting!

It’s Pumpkin Walk Day! We ask you to take a minute to read over some helpful tips/guidelines for today’s festivities:

🎃Feel free to bring a lawn chair or a blanket to watch the concert!

🎃Dress for the weather! The rain is holding off, but come prepared just in case

🎃Please be respectful of the park property (use the garbage bins provided, etc) and the pumpkins that people worked so hard on!

🎃Since it will be dark by the end of the festival, we recommend making a safety plan with your child(ren) in case you get separated. The vendor tents will have lights - show your child the tents and make a plan for them to go there if they get lost

🎃The parking lot will be available this year so there will be ample parking. When leaving the festival, please drive slow and watch for pedestrians

🎃We cannot leave the pumpkins overnight at the soccer field, so if your pumpkin is special and you want to keep it, please pick it up after the pumpkin walk.

🎃While some vendors will have debit/credit, some will be cash only

Happy Huckle Buckling!

Heads up - If you would like to take your pumpkin home after the pumpkin walk, please ensure you take it this evening. We cannot leave them out overnight so there isn’t an option to pick them up the next morning!

The Huckle Buckle planning Committee and the Ingonish Development Society would like to take some time to acknowledge a large donation made to our festival in memory of Ronan MacDonald. Ronan, through his will, has once again sponsored our entertainment for this year’s festival, allowing us to have a concert at the pumpkin walk for the 2nd year in a row. We are deeply grateful and extend our sincerest thanks to Ronan and his family.

Ronan was a fire-fighter, teacher, principal and outdoor adventurer from Sydney who worked for over thirty years in Northern Alberta, though he rarely missed a summer visiting Ingonish and the CB Highlands. Fire fighting, teaching and small community events like Huckle Buckle were part of his passion.

Please help to keep Ronan’s memory and legacy alive by sharing this post and his story and coming out tomorrow to listen to some live music 💕
