Our campers were lucky enough to be the first to view our newest exhibition, What I Know Thus Far, from Johnnene Maddison. After walking through the gallery and talking about abstract art, our young artists had a chance to try their hand at this style of painting!

Take a look at their incredible creations and Johnnene's paintings from which they drew their inspiration!

Join us tomorrow, July 18th at 1pm for the opening of our latest exhibition, What I Know Thus Far, featuring abstract acrylic paintings from Johnnene Maddison!

Within her works, Maddison commits to depicting suggestions of time and space in ways that reflect what she experiences as she paints, which is grateful joy at being alive. Her paintings are about the moment, intensely personal and immediate.

This exhibition runs from July 18th until August 22nd and is kindly sponsored by Trevor M Finkenzeller, Financial Advisor at Edward Jones. Visit our gallery Monday to Friday from 9 am - 4 pm, or Saturdays from 1 - 4pm to view this fantastic exhibition!

We've had a blast during our second week of camp! Our campers worked with watercolour, acrylic, graphite, oil pastels, and so much more during Painting and Drawing Week. Special thanks to Finn McCallum for coming in as a guest instructor for our young artists, leading a lesson on pet portraiture. Thanks to our creative campers for making it such a great week, and we look forward to creating more this summer!

Our first week of Summer camp, Artist's Time Machine Camp, is coming to a close. We've had so much fun exploring art through the ages! We've traveled back to ancient civilization, traversed through the middle ages, and even ventured into a futuristic era, trying out a variety of art styles and methods as we went. We've made Nazca line art, Rococo-inspired pastel, Pop Art, and so much more! We can't wait for another creative week of camp at the ICAC.

This is the LAST WEEK for our Silent Auction Fundraiser at the Creative Arts Centre!

There have been many interpretations of our theme, "Oh Canada!", but we want to introduce you to some of the wild and wacky critters of the silent auction. Visit the Centre until Monday - Friday from 9am - 4pm to bid on these and so many more wonderful handmade pieces!

The "Oh Canada!" Silent Auction closes at 12pm on Friday, June 26.
