The Indian Head Royal Purple are honoured to have two members that celebrate birthdays in December. Our last remaining original charter member (the original charter was granted in 1954), Lil Weaver, turned 102 yesterday. Our Life Member, Eleanor Holden, turns 101 tomorrow. We are so blessed as an organization to have had these two dedicated volunteers with us for so long. They have been the best “sisters” and role models that we could ever have hoped for. Please join with us in wishing them both the happiest of Birthdays!

As Christmas approaches and 2025 draws to a close, the Ladies of the Indian Head Royal Purple would like to say thank you to everyone that supported us this year, through our Canasta parties, by enjoying a meal we prepared either at one of our fundraising or catered events and by liking and sharing our social media. We would also like to sincerely thank all of the businesses, volunteers, not for profit and service organizations that help to make Indian Head such a vibrant and friendly community. Merry Christmas! We look forward to continuing to serve our community in 2026!

We have heard a few folks say the Royal Purple “do not cater any more “. That is not the case. The Royal Purple ladies are happy to cater meals for small or large groups, up to around 75 people, IN THE ELKS HALL. We have a limited number of workers and all of our equipment is in the hall. We found that catering elsewhere entailed taking everything with us - pots and pans, serving dishes and utensils, electric roasters, crockpots plus all of the food. Carrying all of that from the basement of our hall to another venue and back again is just too much for our small number of workers. So, if you are having an event in the Elk’s hall, feel free to contact us for prices and availability!

Our Royal Purple Life Member, Dolly Appleton, celebrates her 89th Birthday today! Dolly is a loyal, active member of our Lodge and our Ladies wish her the happiest of Birthdays!

If you are having an event in the Elk's Hall, the Royal Purple are available to cater. We can cater for groups up to 75 people. While we no longer cater for large groups outside of our hall, we are always happy to prepare great food for you at the Elk's Hall! Contact us for information and prices.
