This day unites communities, organizations, and nations in promoting older adultsโ€™ right to live with dignity, security, and the opportunity to contribute to their communities. In Canada, we are fortunate to have a network of elder abuse prevention organizations working year-round to provide support, education, and resources, with WEAAD serving as a powerful platform for raising awareness and inspiring action.

โ‘  All delivery teams (driver and runner, or driver only) are assigned a specific route for the day, consisting of 5-8 deliveries.

โ‘ก Teams meet in the receiving area of the Huntsville Hospital.

โ‘ข The first team to arrive wheels the cart with assembled hot meals to the delivery doors.

โ‘ฃ Time to load up! All teams collect the meals that correspond to the clients on their route.

โ‘ค Hit the road! Steps 2-4 must be done within 15 minutes, and all deliveries are completed within a 1-hour window, for food safety reasons.

June is Senior's Month, and this year's theme is ๐‹๐ž๐ญ'๐ฌ ๐†๐ž๐ญ ๐Œ๐จ๐ฏ๐ข๐ง๐  - highlighting programs and initiatives that promote wellness, social engagement and education for seniors and older adults.

We are proud of the opportunities we provide for the local seniors every month. Whether at our weekly restaurant luncheons to our monthly Bingo, it is such a privilege to serve those who have served us for many, many years before this.

Muskoka Seniors is honoured to have been part of your visit to Huntsville a couple of weeks ago. We had the opportunity to hear you speak about your brother's legacy and the ongoing cancer research funded by the Terry Fox Foundation.
