Last Thursday, Rotary People of Action Huntsville gathered at Huntsville High School to celebrate the completion of our District Grant project: three accessible picnic tables that will provide students with a place to enjoy snacks and lunch, participate in outdoor classroom activities, and gather with friends. The tables will also be available for community members to enjoy outside of school hours.

The evening was also an opportunity to honour the memory of our dear friend and fellow Rotarian, Sharon Wallace. Sharon's passion for Rotary, her commitment to service, and her belief in making our community a better place continue to inspire us. It was Sharon, alongside Anita Gleeson, who encouraged our club to apply for its first District Grant and helped lay the foundation for projects like this one.

A special thank you to the Huntsville High School Culinary Program for preparing a wonderful assortment of treats for our gathering. Thank you as well to Anita Gleeson, who generously sponsored the refreshments and covered the cost of the culinary students' creations.

President Brent shared a few words about Sharon's love of Rotary and the impact she had on our club, followed by Sharon's husband, Steve Meadley, who spoke beautifully about Sharon's love for both Rotary and the Huntsville community.

As we gathered around the tables that Sharon helped make possible, we were reminded that service leaves a lasting legacy. These tables will be enjoyed by students, teachers, and community members for years to come—a fitting tribute to someone who cared so deeply about making a difference.

Thank you to everyone who helped bring this project to life and ensure Sharon's vision of service continues to make an impact in our community.

Rotary Fellowship In Action!
What a fantastic evening at our Rotary meet up! Rotarians from Huntsville came together to connect, share ideas, and enjoy the fellowship that makes Rotary so special. It was a wonderful to meet like-minded people who are passionate about making a difference in their communities.

Well, we missed our friends from the Rotary Club of North Muskoka, they had the best excuse possible - they were knee-deep in community service projects and out making it making an impact where it was needed most. A sincere thank you to everyone who came out. The conversations, connections, and collaboration made for a truly successful event. We look forward to building on the momentum and finding more opportunities to work together in service to our communities.

Come for the fellowship, stay for the laughs.

Rotary People of Action is excited to host a casual social evening bringing together members from all three Huntsville Rotary clubs for a night of conversation, connections, and fun!

No speeches.
No fundraising pitches.
No agendas.

Just good people, good laughs, and a chance to get to know one another outside of our regular meetings.

🌎💚 It’s never too early to teach the next generation the importance of caring for our environment, cleaning up after ourselves, and giving back to the community we call home.

Seeing young people step up and take pride in keeping Huntsville beautiful is truly inspiring — and this young man led by example during Rotary People of Action Huntsville’s Team Up to Clean Up community event! 👏🧹

💚 A HUGE thank you to everyone who joined Rotary People of Action Huntsville on Sunday, May 3rd for our annual Team Up to Clean Up community event!

Together, we collected over 25 bags of garbage from around our community! 🗑️👏 What an incredible example of what can happen when a community comes together to make a difference.

A special thank you to the Town of Huntsville for coordinating the pickup of all the collected garbage and helping support this important initiative. Your partnership is greatly appreciated!

We’d also like to send a heartfelt thank you to the lovely lady who lives across from Muskoka Heritage Place for surprising our volunteers with bananas and water. Your kindness and generosity were so appreciated and truly captured the spirit of community. 💛🍌💧

And to every volunteer who gave up part of their Sunday to help keep Huntsville beautiful — THANK YOU! Whether you cleaned a trail, roadside, park, or neighbourhood, your efforts made a visible impact. 🌎✨
