Honouring 150 Years of Treaty 6
Treaty 6 150

In 1876, First Nations and the Crown entered into Treaty 6 through gatherings at Fort Carlton (Aug. 23), Chief Kamiscowesit’s (Beardy’s) Campsite (Aug. 28), and Fort Pitt (Sept. 9).

In 2026, we acknowledge and honour 150 years of this shared treaty history.

Prairie Central is proud to be part of Treaty 6 territory.
We are all Treaty people.

Take time to learn, listen, reflect, and honour the relationships and responsibilities that come with Treaty.
