The Humboldt Lions and the Humboldt District Health Foundation would like to thank every single person that was involved in our JailNBail event today - "Locked Up to Lift Lives." We are that much closer to a new helipad for the community! We still have pledges coming in, so it will take a bit of time to get a complete number of how much money our community has raised. Thank you so much to Lion Joe and Lion Taylor for setting up the event in Civic Park, our Lions members in attendance and those that helped behind the scenes, to Lion Lorrie Bunko for being our amazing Judge, the RCMP members and CSO Justin Tarrant for coming out and arresting folks all day. This was a huge success and we can't wait to do it again!

Cynthie Gaetz is our last detainee for the day! Her charge is "for going above and beyond for her pre-k students and all the sports she teaches." Her bail is $250 and we have no doubt she'll be released in no time.

Dennis Zwarych spent all morning hanging out in our jail cell. He surpassed his bail amount and has raised over $7600! Thank you so much to Dennis and his supporters, this is incredible!!

Rylan Bautz of Sobeys took the place of manager Ryan Currie who was unable to attend today. Lucky for him, Judge Lorrie set his bail to $250 and he successfully raised the funds and was released. Good job Rylan!

Jennifer Brooks has been charged with "being the queen of selfie and group picture taking." I've been told when she was arrested that she immediately asked for a selfie with Community Safety Officer Justin. Her bail is $500.

Adam Eichorst of the City of Humboldt has been charged with "recently fled MNP custody - considered armed and highly conversational." He pleads not guilty, that he hasn't spoken a word ever. His bail is set for $400. How he'll call for help when he never talks is going to be a real feat!

For "burning too many burgers at the 60th anniversary of the Pioneer Hotel and Bar", Russell and Murray Whittke were picked up. They're pledging $1000 for not being held after their barbeque fundraiser. Happy anniversary and thank you for your support!

Spencer Hill was arrested for "telling too many dad jokes." His bail was $500 and he surpassed that! Way to go Spencer!
