The Hudson Players Club is Quebec's oldest continually operating English language Professional or Amateur Theatre Group. Heading into our 65th year, there is an embarrassment of riches! New plays, youth wing and great gatherings to celebrate live theatre in and around Hudson!!! Come Play With Us!!!

CALL FOR DIRECTORS

The Hudson Players Club is seeking director submissions for our upcoming Spring 2027 production of Wining & Dying, written by Katherine Albers.

Venue: Hudson Village Theatre
Target Dates: Early April 2027 (exact dates TBA)

They gathered to rehearse a play. Instead, they fell back in love with the theatre (and each other).
Funny, warm, and full of Shakespeare's best writing about the stage, The Play's the Thing follows a group of amateur actors rehearsing in a garden in the summer of 1954. Old loves resurface, new ones begin, and a company of actors rediscovers why theatre matters, with the clowns of A Midsummer Night's Dream leading the way.

We are proud to once again present theatre on the Greenwood Lawn:

That's a wrap on Richard III.

Two weekends in the round at Jack Layton Park, and you showed up for all of it with lawn chairs, bug spray, a willingness to sit through a bit of weather when it came and most of all your enthusiasm!

Thank you to Simon Côté and the cast for taking on one of Shakespeare's most demanding plays. And thank you to the crew, the front-of-house volunteers, and everyone who set up and struck the site.

Fourteen editions in, and going strong. See you next summer. 🥰

The weather is holding at Jack Layton Park for tonight's performance of Richard III.

With only two shows left in the run, tonight's a good performance to catch.

Meet this year's mother/son duo: William Grenier-McDermott as the Marquess of Dorset, and Genevieve Grenier as the Mayor of London.

They and the rest of the company look forward to entertaining you this evening. "Curtain" at 7 p.m. Hope to see you there!
