Through the Years Early Learning Centre Through The Years Early Learning Centre is a non-profit child care centre located in Hubbards

Inclusion: At Through the Years Day Care & Community Centre we believe that every child should be able to attend an early learning and child care program. We also believe for those children who require additional support, needs should not hinder a family's ability to enroll their child in such programs. These programs provide the environment and experiences that promote growth in all areas of development. It is our mission to provide a developmentally appropriate group experience for all children in our centre. We believe by practicing inclusion we encourage the development of real relationships, the sense of belonging for all children and teaching dignity and equality. Inclusion benefits everyone: the children, the parents and even the staff. Children of all abilities learn from each other and we are committed to adapting experiences and routines so all children can participate actively and meaningfully in a natural environment. Our centre employs a full time program support person to enhance ratio in classrooms where children with special needs need extra support.

Last evening Paulette, Carol and Mary Ellen attended the 2026 Recreation Nova Scotia's Awards Ceremony and Banquet in Truro, where our Superheroes United Program was awarded the 2026 Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Access Award. Our program was nominated by the Muncipality of Chester.
We congratulate and thank Paulette Harnish Benight and Rhonda Buffet for creating and sustaining this supportive and inclusive group for families with children with differing needs in our community for nearly a decade.

Through the Years Early Learning Centre would like to extend a huge thank you to all the businesses, individuals, and families who donated prizes, sponsored a hole, or volunteered their time to support our golf tournament!

Your generosity, support, and participation helped make our tournament a tremendous success, and we are so grateful to everyone who contributed.

We’re already looking ahead to next year! Keep an eye out for our golf tournament in the spring as we change things up and try something new!
