The Team exists because of the overdose crisis that is affecting our communities in an unprecedented way. Our Team Shouldn't Exist

We live in a world that is full of incredible beauty, wonderful people, and epic adventures. But we also live a world that is messed up and all of the above can become messed up, too. One of the most messed up things is that people are dying daily from overdose. Most

of them are dying alone. It doesn’t have to be that way. The Hope Community Action Team (CAT) came together to . It would be great to come together for something fun, but when people need help, shouldn’t we help them? We hope that you do, too. We want Hope to be a place known for its compassion as much as its natural beauty, amazing wood carvings, and Rambo. Imagine what could happen if we all worked together. Imagine a world where a mom or brother or friend doesn’t have to get told their loved one has died from an overdose. Dream with us. Love with us.

Just a friendly reminder: our office is now closed on Fridays. But don’t worry! We’ve moved our Friday food giveaways to the Food Resource Centre at 888 Third Ave. 🍎🥦 With more space, we’re excited to serve you better and offer even more giveaways. Thank you for your understanding and support! 🙌

Hope’s Community Action Team International Overdose Awareness Day. International Overdose Awareness Day

We have so many people to thank for this event. We are so grateful for the community coming together to donate, share stories of their loved ones and help us raise awareness and end stigma.

Our Purple Chairs were displayed, sparking conversation - created by our local peers, to signify a lost loved one’s seat at the table. You will find these chairs within the community.

Our memorials are hung around the tent from previous years, continuing to remember them and share their name. Wildflower seeds were given out for a take home symbol of growth and healing.

Hope Paramedics joined us for Naloxone Training, we are so grateful for their support and expertise for the folks that came by for trainings and refreshers.

We had muffins donated by Hope’s Save on Foods. As well as Pizza donated by Hope’s Panago. These we were able to give out to folks coming by.

We were able to do 8 Raffle Prizes - all items donated by local businesses in town. I wanted to focus on food and wellness. A big thank you to: Blue Moose Coffee House Hope & Area Recreation, Booster Juice, Hope’s Home Restaurant, Boston Pizza - Hope BC

A another huge thank you to Andy at Mighty Fraser Barber Company for offering his whole day up so we can send people over for free Haircuts!
