I appreciate the many efforts to deal constructively with Trump and other tyrants who are currently in public office across the Earth ... the civil movements, the attempted legal actions, the attempted negotiations, the sending out of love and prayers, and providing aid to their targets. Although all of these are necessary and may or may not be softening the damage, they are not yet stopping the tyrants. We have seen throughout human history that we are rarely able to influence or prevent the intense damage done by tyrants, given their unhealthy addiction to excessive wealth and/or power over others. If much of humanity wishes to co-create a more just, caring, safer and healthier human culture, we need stronger, more effective tools to prevent abuse at all levels. In the case of national and international abuses, we need stronger national and international bodies who have the authority and the means to prevent tyrants from taking office and, failing that, to remove them from office as soon as they start with their threats and their abusive actions. Creating such bodies or revising existing bodies to play that role will be no easy task but we need to work towards that goal ... words Donna Havinga; photo dl from NASA

Destructive communication can damage otherwise great relationships over time. The IMAGO folks offer up a relatively simple communication method that reduces conflict and builds mutual understanding and mutual support. The starting assumption is that both parties care about each others' well-being. Unfortunately, not everyone enters relationships in that spirit. Some believe that relationships are there solely to meet their own needs and they have limited capacity for reciprocity. The massive protests are a glimmer of hope. Trump has not yet been arrested or impeached. Another reminder (did we need another one?) of the on-going limitations of humanity's legal, justice, political, economic and psycho-educational practices and systems to effectively curtail abuse at all levels. We shall see if civil society has some success on this one or not.

Sweet... perhaps if Trump and his co-conspirators joined Gurdeep in the snow dance, their souls would begin to move in a healthier direction ... pretty clear that they need to "get a life!" ... a couple of us have discussed inviting them to the Mexican restaurant in Ontario where we play latin music ...perhaps we need to organize a Canadian "get a life" tour for them ... maple syrup to sweeten them up would be among the many Canadian treasures on the agenda ... ❤

Yes, by now most of humanity finally gets that Donald Trump is not only unfit but also dangerous in the role of President of the United States. The many warnings were not heeded. Those of us with grave concerns were left incredulous that he was allowed to run again and worse, that he was elected again! So, what can we do about it now? Some defensive actions are underway - impeachment articles, boycotts, purchasing movements, protests, alliances and other usual tools of civil society. Although these are worthy efforts, I doubt that they will make much difference in this situation. As per the known traits of pathological narcissists, they do not care about how their actions hurt others, or what anyone who doesn’t do their bidding thinks or does. They are committed only to what they perceive of as their own self-serving agendas, and will stoop to highly unethical means to achieve their goals.

We need strong and swift action to stop Trump and his co-bullies before they do more damage. We need to arrest them, detain them, and keep them away from computers. It seems that the US does not currently have that capacity. The UN may or may not be capable under one or more of the many international laws and treaties, but will they be strong and swift enough? Hmm, I am left wondering who has the capacity to take strong, swift action in the face of the growing abusive aggression ... will keep a watch out and let you know. In the meanwhile, VIVA Canada, Mexico, Greenland; VIVA our peace-loving friends in Gaza, Israel, the Ukraine, Russia, the US and everywhere. DOWN with the bullies of this world!
