This page has been created to support efforts to identify and consult with the indigenous peoples of the West Yellowhead region of Alberta. Over the next few months, I will be working to support greater recognition and autonomy for local indigenous individuals, groups and families. Through an indigneous process advised by a circle of natural leaders, I will be building a comprehensive list of loca

l indigenous people. Then, through a set of questions devised with the advisory circle, the listed people will be asked to express their views and priorities. Creating the most thorough and extensive record possible is essential to this project to allow for the highest level of inclusion and input.
