Highwood Lions Music Festival The Highwood Lions Music Festival (formerly High River & District), has been operating a quality performance opportunity for amateur musicians since 1979.

The Highwood Lions Music Festival (formerly High River and District Lions Music Festival) is an annual event occurring in High River, Alberta. Since 1979, our mission has been to promote music and speech art performance by students and enthusiasts within our district. Our Festival has grown over the years to encourage approximately one thousand performers per year. Our Festival is supported by loc

al associations. Businesses, teachers, and residents, as well as grants from the Province of Alberta. Our festival would not be possible without the generous support provided by the Highwood Lions Club. We offer our entrants the opportunity to perform in front of a highly qualified adjudicator and an audience (the public is welcome to attend) to help the entrants gain performance experience. Furthermore, the entrant will receive supportive guidance from the adjudicator on their performances.
