We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to for providing a delicious Thanksgiving meal for the residents of our shelter. ❤️

Holidays can be especially difficult for those who are away from home, facing challenges, or struggling to find reasons to be thankful. Your generosity reminded our residents that they are seen, cared for, and supported by a compassionate community.

A shared meal is so much more than food, it creates connection, comfort, and a sense of belonging. Thank you, Knee Deep, for helping make Thanksgiving a little brighter for those who need it most.

Brettyn Rose is a rising country artist with music rooted in an acoustic aesthetic, woven with honest lyrics, powerful vocals, and a hint of sparkle. With her captivating voice, relatable songwriting, and a sound that is completely her own, the Okotoks, Alberta native is demonstrating she is a necessary voice in country music – nobody sounds like Brettyn.
Rose is already making her mark by being selected as a Top 8 Semi-Finalist in Sirius XM and the Canadian Country Music Association’s Top of The Country program (2025) this year as well as having three Country Music Alberta Award nominations, most recently including “Horizon Female Artist of The Year” (2024). Rose’s newest release, “Wild West” (2025) just might be her best yet and demonstrates that she is one-to-watch. With notable live performances such as CCMA House (2025), Country Thunder (2023), and the Country Music Alberta Awards (2023) along with Released her debut EP, The Wild West, on May 8, 2026, there is no stopping Rose on her blossoming path.

Our Safe at Home program has a new name: Pathways to Change.

The old name described a goal, while the new name reflects the work it takes to get there. Pathways to Change recognizes that building accountability and healthier relationships is an active, ongoing choice, with meaningful steps taken day by day to help create safer homes and communities.

While the name is changing, the program’s support and free access remain the same. We are also working on updates to the curriculum, coming later this fall.

Chase Morgan is a singer/songwriter, born and raised in High River, Alberta. Mixing complicated subjects with his self-coined alt-prairie style, Morgan seamlessly blends his traditional country roots with contemporary living. Having released his latest single, “Sky Move,” in October of 2024; this new-school-classic looks forward to breaking ground and elevating his sound further, with his latest studio project. Morgan was recently recognized for his musical efforts with a nomination for “Roots Artist of the Year,” at the 14th annual Country Music Alberta Awards. With a song on his lips and a story to tell, things are just getting started for this young Alberta songwriter. Catch him (if you can) all over the prairies!
