Take a walk around any of our Westwinds Communities lodges, and you’ll instantly notice the neat lawns, clean walkways, and well-maintained grounds. That’s all thanks to the incredible folks in our Maintenance Department!

Day in and day out, our maintenance team ensures that every facility is safe, functional, and welcoming. Whether they’re tackling outdoor landscaping or jumping on a quick repair call indoors, they do it all with a smile.

🦶🌲 **Senior Summer Camp Week ending!** 🌲🦶

Things got a little mysterious around High Country Lodge when we had a very special surprise visitor… **BIGFOOT!** 👀🦶 He stopped by to invite our residents on a very important mission—a **Bigfoot hunt!**

Later, we set off on our own **Bigfoot Scavenger Hunt**, following clues that took us all around the building and property. Our search led us to the gazebo, library, courtyard, card room, exercise room, chapel, dining room and recreation space! 🔎🌲

It was a great way to get a walk in, explore our surroundings, work together, and have plenty of laughs along the way. 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️😄

And after all that hunting, we definitely earned a treat! Everyone who completed the hunt celebrated with **ice cream and a Bigfoot sticker** to prove they were officially part of the Bigfoot Hunters Club! 🍦🦶⭐

🏕️☀️ More Senior Summer Camp Fun at High Country Lodge! ☀️🏕️

Our morning exercise got a little more playful with the parachute! There were lots of laughs, teamwork, and maybe a little competition as we worked together to keep that ball on the parachute. 🎈🙌

We also headed outdoors for some axe throwing! 🪓🎯 The weather was warm and perfect for getting outside. Our residents took their turns, cheered each other on, and showed that you’re never too old to try something new!

From tie dye and sundaes to parachute fun and axe throwing, Senior Summer Camp Week has definitely been one to remember! ❤️

🌈🍦 **High Country Lodge Senior Summer Camp Week is in full swing!** 🍦🌈

This week has been filled with fun, creativity, and lots of smiles! On Monday, our residents got their creative juices flowing with **tie dye shirts**—and today was finally time for the big reveal! 👕✨

But first… we enjoyed a delicious **Make-Your-Own Sundae Bar!** 🍨 We had ALL the toppings: strawberry rhubarb sauce, pineapple, caramel, chocolate, pecans, walnuts, whipped cream, and, of course, cherries on top! 🍒

Then came the moment we had been waiting for… **the great tie dye reveal!** 🌈 Every shirt was as unique as the person who created it, and we had such a great time seeing everyone's colourful creations!

What a fantastic day of summer camp fun! ☀️💜

Every day, our dedicated team makes sure that our residents feel comfortable, safe, and truly at home. Whether they’re preparing a welcoming suite for a new arrival or delivering fresh linens (look at that perfectly balanced stack!), their hard work doesn’t go unnoticed.

Throwback to one of our absolute favorite days! 🫏💙 Looking back at photos from our animal therapy visit always puts a giant smile on our faces.

Events like these bring so much warmth, laughter, and connection to our community. Even long after our four-legged friends have left, the wonderful memories (and great stories!) stay with us. We’re already looking forward to the next fun adventure!

🐺 **Small Group, Big Adventure!** 🐺

A small but mighty group from High Country Lodge headed out for a wonderful day at Yamnuska Wolf Sanctuary!

We enjoyed a delicious picnic lunch, complete with some very special **wolf music (howls!)** 🎶🐺, before taking a leisurely walk and soaking in the beautiful weather and scenery.

Sometimes the smallest groups make for the most memorable adventures! ❤️🌲
