*Reminder: Mobile Diabetes Telemedicine Clinic

We're reposting this as a reminder that the Mobile Diabetes Telemedicine Clinic is at the Gitanmaax Health & Wellness Centre on Tuesday and Wednesday (October 20 & 21, 2026).

There are still a few appointments available on Wednesday, so if you or a family member are living with diabetes or pre-diabetes, we encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to connect with the care team, learn more about your health, and get the support you need.

Taking care of ourselves helps keep our families and community strong. If you are living with diabetes or pre-diabetes, the Mobile Diabetes Telemedicine Clinic will be at the Gitanmaax Health & Wellness Centre on October 20 & 21, 2026. Services include blood work results, health reviews, one-on-one education, and more.

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

Please note that our Offices and Departments will be closed on Wednesday, September 30, 2026.

Community members are invited to attend the Gitanmaax IRS Commemoration Ceremony at 11:00 a.m. at the Gitanmaax Recreation Hub. The ceremony will honour Survivors, remember the children who never returned home, and celebrate the strength of Gitxsan culture, identity, and history through the unveiling of a new commemoration site.

Join us in honouring, remembering, and healing together.

Every Child Matters.

Regular office hours will resume on Thursday, October 1, 2026.

IRS COMMEMORATION CEREMONY

We commemorate to honor Gitanmaax Indian Residential School survivors, memorialize the children who never returned, and uphold Gitxsan culture, identity, and history through a community monument, ceremony, and celebration.
