🌲🗑️ Did you know? Last year, over 6,690 kg of dumped waste was removed from the County Forest and shockingly, most of it was recyclable.

🚯 Trash belongs in carts, not in the bush.

Our forests are for exploring, relaxing, and enjoying nature 💚 not dumping ground shortcuts.

✅ Use curbside collection, large item pickup, or local waste facilities
✅ Put it where it belongs: in your cart, not the forest

With the weather moving in around 6:00 PM and expected to continue through the evening, I won't be bringing the Flying Monkeys tent out tonight as usual.
That said, for all the legends who ride no matter what Mother Nature throws at them, your rides still count! Record your ride results as normal, and they'll be included in your monthly totals.

Monday Family Social Ride recap!

25 kids, many parents, lots of bikes, and plenty of smiles.

Our youngest riders tackled two laps of the kids loop, while our oldest riders completed a full pull of Silver Creek Tract.

From brand-new riders working hard to stay on the trail, to confident riders crushing the climbs, it was a great night all around.

And yes — we finished with well-deserved popsicles.

Huge thanks goes to the many leads and sweeps and parents keeping their kids safe. Special Thank you goes to Brent Johnson SCMBCs Region Rep for Severn, who not only did a lap the day before for maintenance, he led the Cheetahs! A few other SCMBC board reps: Shawn Pilon Oro Region Rep and Adam Hewson VP joined the fun with their young riders and helped make this a night to remember.

Local Legends RIDERS — THIS PART MATTERS

Before you hit the trails, make your first stop the Flying Monkeys Tent.

📍 Bottom of Climb Trail⏰ 6:00–6:30 PM

This is the official kickoff to the night, and where you'll get:

✅ Rider check-in & waiver barcode
✅ Strava registration to start collecting your Local Legends stats
✅ Route info, event updates & insider details
✅ Cold water before the ride
✅ Meet the Copeland ride crew and fellow legends-in-the-making

Most importantly, this is where we set the tone for the night.

If you're chasing Local Legend status, your journey starts at the tent.

Every month, three riders will be crowned a Local Legend based on participation, ride stats, community spirit, and showing up all month long. Not the fastest? Doesn't matter.

We also recognize the riders who bring the stoke, cheer on others, volunteer, encourage new riders, and help make this community what it is.

We had 24 young riders and almost as many adults join us for our first weekly kids social!

This week we were at lot 100 Bass Lake Side Road.
