HBM Township – Fire & Emergency Services – June 4, 2026

HBM Township fire danger rating has been raised to Extreme.

NO Day Time Burning, only small, contained campfires in the evenings with conditions are permitted.

Burning of large brush piles is NOT permitted.

Small recreational/campfires do not require a burn permit

Please call 911 to report any out-of-control fires.

The HBM Fire & Emergency Services encourages all residents and visitors to obey the Fire Danger Rating signs posted.

Water levels: You'll notice the level is low for this time of year. The reason is a dock that is stuck in the dam on our outbound (Crowe) side. CVCA is doing their best to release the dock and return levels to normal.

Water levels remain high on Belmont but have likely peaked. Flow rates in our rivers are 20x summer flow at the Crowe outlet. Rock marker deployment will likely need to be delayed slightly until levels come down.
