Inequities in healthcare exist in marginalized communities all over the world for people and their animals. Despite being fully preventable, dog-mediated human rabies kills tens of thousands of people every year, especially in rural and impoverished areas in Africa and Asia. (www.unitedagainstrabies.org)

ONE Health Dog Equity is inspired by the work of Dr. Paul Farmer (1959-2022) Co-Founder of Partners In Health. With the understanding that inequities in healthcare do not have to exist. By embracing a One Health approach and giving people and communities the voice to help minimize the gap of inequities we can strengthen both human and animal health.
