Great Lakes Trust Science, Art, and Advocacy for Our Great Lakes

We are swimmers and paddlers, artists and advocates, scientists and adventurers, surfers and divers, who share a love for our home waters. In partnership with the Hamilton Community Foundation and groups like Swim Drink Fish and the Bay Area Restoration Council, we oversee a 'forever fund' that offers small charitable grants to sustain our Great Lakes for perpetuity. We support small, innovative,

creative research projects, artistic expression, and grassroots participation, across communities and generations, to defend our great lakes.

24 years ago today, Lake Ontario Waterkeeper launched in Hamilton and Toronto. So much progress. So many impacts from this ambitious organization that inspired Swim Drink Fish and a national charity for swimmable drinkable fishable water for all.
