McMaster Stem Cell Club Keep up-to-date on stem cell drives and other events, run by both the School of Medicine and undergraduate chapters of the McMaster Stem Cell Club!

In 2011, a team of medical students at the University of British Columbia founded The Stem Cell Club, aiming to strengthen Canada’s stem cell donor database. To date, the team at UBC has coordinated dozens of stem cell drives at campuses across British Columbia, and recruited over 3250 potential stem cell donors (representing 1% of all donors on Canada's current donor-database). The team was recen

tly awarded a grant from Canadian Blood Services for $20,000 to launch Stem Cell Clubs at medical schools across Canada. This is the page for the two McMaster Stem Cell Club chapters - the Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine chapter and the undergraduate chapter. Our main roles on campus are 1) to run stem cell drives in order to strengthen the Canadian stem cell donor database and 2) to promote stem cell education.
