🎤 Purpose. Pace. Pause.

Pat Wright, DTM’s Educational Edge at Midday Marauders Toastmasters Club 3935 gave me a new perspective on speech delivery.

When we’re nervous, it’s easy to rush through a speech, especially when reading from notes. But our audience needs time to listen, process and absorb our message.

My biggest takeaway: slow down and don’t be afraid of the pause.
