We are unique. We strongly believe in the power of youth to do great things! NGen is a youth-led youth centre. This means that young people get to make decisions on how we run things, which programs we offer, how money is managed, and much more! Youth leaders do this through the Youth Action Council, where they are able to be part of four different working committees:

At NGen, we build community by engaging and empowering youth to support each other by promoting positivity, respect, diversity, and equality. We are operating under the administrative partnership of Hamilton East Kiwanis Boys and Girls Club. WHAT'S HAPPENING AT NGEN IN SEPTEMBER:

Drop In (Tues 3:00-6:30 | Wed-Fri 3:00-9:00) -> Our space is open for youth to drop in, hang out, work on homework, join various activities, and feel at home. Soul Food - Cooking Class (Wed 5:30-8:30) -> Share skills, culture, and great food. Steel Express - Beginner & Intermediate Breaking Lessons (Thurs 6:00-8:30) -> Through mentorship & youth-led teaching, learn athleticism and the fundamentals of breakdancing. Movie Night (Fri 6:30-9:00) -> Join us for popcorn and a movie each week.
