🌈Happy Pride Month from KAB – Celebrating Inclusion, Strength, and Community🌈

This Pride Month, we celebrate the strength that comes from inclusion, the power of community, and the courage to be authentically yourself.

Our boat is stronger because of the diverse voices, experiences, and identities that paddle alongside us. We are proud to support a community where everyone is welcome, valued, respected, and celebrated.

Together we paddle with strength. Together we lead with love. Together we create a space where everyone belongs.

💜❤️🧡💛💚💙

Happy Pride Month!

Our first race of the season at The Toronto Women’s International Dragon Boat Festival at Heart Lake last Sunday and the determination was written all over every face, every stroke, every push to the finish.

Strength. Grit. Focus. Power.
This is what teamwork looks like.

Proud of how our Knot A Breast crews showed up and raced with heart. This is only the beginning.

Today we want to extend our deepest gratitude to one of our most valued supporters, Macassa Bay Yacht Club.

Their generosity, kindness, and unwavering support mean more to us than words can truly express. From providing us with an incredible space to gather, train, and grow together, to helping put our boats in the water each season and safely taking them out for the winter — they are an essential part of our journey.

Because of their support, our team is able to continue our mission of empowering breast cancer survivors through the strength, connection, and healing spirit of dragon boating.

Dragon boating is so much more than a sport for us — it is resilience, friendship, recovery, hope, and proof that we are stronger together. We simply could not do what we do without community partners like Macassa Bay Yacht Club standing beside us every step of the way.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for believing in us, supporting us, and helping keep our paddles moving forward. 💗🚣‍♀️

We are incredibly grateful and proud to have you as part of the Knot A Breast family.

Cold weather. Rainy skies. Hot racing. 🌧️🔥

Knot A Breast hit the water for our first race of the season at the Toronto Women’s International Dragon Boat Festival at Heart Lake — and what a way to start!

We paddled hard, raced strong, and came away with:
🥈 Silver in B Division
🥉 Bronze in C Division

Rain couldn’t stop us. Cold couldn’t slow us.

This team showed heart, grit, and determination every stroke of the way.

Amazing start to what promises to be an incredible season!

KAB is thrilled to welcome our new Head Coach Brad Bridger for his very first on-the-water practice with us. With Coach Annette Gerard alongside him, we know we are in great hands this season.

With this incredible coaching team guiding us, we’re feeling strong, motivated, and ready to grow together.

We know we’re lucky to have such amazing talent leading the way.

Here’s to getting stronger, paddling harder, and making waves in the 2026 racing season! 🐉🔥

First practice of the season and we came in strong… 50 paddlers, 3 boats, a coach, 3 steers and 7 brave newbies who had no idea what they signed up for 🚣‍♀️😄 Knot A Breast is growing and growing strong💪

Let’s just say dragon boating quickly revealed itself to not be a “gentle paddle and chat” kind of sport. More like “core workout, teamwork exam, and surprise arm burn you’ll feel tomorrow” 💪

The newbies started out smiling politely… and ended up fully initiated by the end — equal parts exhausted, empowered, and wondering why their arms suddenly feel 10 years older. But they did AMAZING 👏

Bonus entertainment… Macassa Bay decided to fake autumn on May 9th 🍂🎬 If you were wondering about the fall leaves🤣

And yes… the newbies will return 😄 It’s just that kind of a sport!

Strong connections, shared values, and positive energy! Some of our teammates were proud to represent Knot A Breast at the eFIT Meet, Greet & Connect event.

We were happy to support an organization that views health through a holistic lens — recognizing that wellness is both physical and mental.

That message aligns perfectly with what we believe at Knot A Breast: movement, exercise, community, and connection are powerful parts of wellbeing.

Thank you to eFIT for bringing people together and creating such a positive space! 💗🚣‍♀️💪

A huge THANK YOU to eFIT and our incredible trainer Mike Shepherd for an amazing winter training season!

We are so grateful for the support, encouragement, and for sharing your space with our team. Mike pushed us, challenged us, and helped make us stronger, fitter, and ready for the season ahead.

Because of support like this, we head to the water stronger than ever — ready to paddle hard, race fast, and give it our all. Thank you for being such an important part of our journey! 💪🚣‍♀️
