💚 Pop by the stormwater management garden for Halton Region Master Gardeners Garden Journeys Open Days at Church of St John the Evangelist, "The Rock on Locke" at Locke/Charlton, for a self-tour, to see which native plants are in bloom now. We have plant labels displayed for all the species and the garden is buzzing with insects.

🪏 You may notice a fair amount of bare ground in the garden this year. We have been working hard to remove all of the native wild strawberry plants - they proved a bit too aggressive for the other plants. Once the very hot weather cools later this month we’ll be adding some new plants and transplanting a few others around the garden.

🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏽‍♂️ We have a volunteer team of church and community members that gather for a bit of easy, social gardening one evening a month - if you’d like to come check it out, our next evening is Wednesday, August 13th at 7PM. Or join our email list by contacting us at [email protected]

Starts tomorrow, August 8th:
