Rescue Group dedicated to the rescuing, healing, fostering and finding forever homes for animals Veterinarians donate their professional time and skills.

Canon's Cause is there to provide the financial help for the treatment of all medical conditions of previously homeless dogs and cats. Foster parents donate their time, home, patience and most importantly, their love. If you are able to provide a temporary home to one of our animals in need, please message us to fill out a foster application.

Who remembers our oh so sweet boy Buddy, who arrived to use with extensive mouth trauma from a stick being stick in his mouth for a lengthy period of time?! This is what rescue, foster, heal, adopt looks like. Our hearts are happy ❤️🐾🐾❤️
“This past Saturday we celebrated Buddy’s 10th birthday with a weekend away. Although Buddy still very much loves life as a “sofa dog” he also seems to age backwards in the winter. He loves hiking in the woods, especially if there is snow.
He was able to enjoy small amounts of his two favourite people food this weekend: pizza and popcorn! Buddy enjoys participating in training sessions with our 19 year old son (who is training to be a Dog Trainer), and tolerates the cats in his life (both our resident cat, and our daughters two cats who visit). Buddy has been with us for 5 years, and he brings so much love to our family every single day.”

Yesterday, I loaded Bruno into my car and met two people who understand dogs and their needs. A meet-and-greet was had with tail wags, kisses, and treats. Bruno showed what a people person he is and struggled with all four being on the floor, jumping up and offering kisses. With their dog experience, this family understands that with positive redirection, respect, routine, training and love, this can be corrected and a good canine community member can be had.
The decision was made today that Bruno will be leaving us on Family Day for foster-to-adopt. We all agree to take it one day, one week, one month at a time to ensure we have a forever match. My heart is full, and I can now rest knowing Bruno's day is coming to life in a home ❤️🐾🐾❤️

12 years ago a little mangey skinny puppy arrived into our care. We knew immediately this sweet girl would make a family very happy. Jewels did not disappoint. Happy 12th Birthday Jewels ❤️🐾🐾❤️ “This girl turned 12 last week. “Estimated birthday” lol.
Still gets zoomies.. Loves her toys, people and walkies. 🙂 Jewels is the best”

Hello cuteness! Our girl Poppy, now named Finley, had her spay last week and is recovering well in her forever home. That’s correct, our girl will remain with her fosters to become a forever family. Love a happily ever after ❤️🐾🐾❤️
