Thank you to the Ontario Trillium Foundation for investing in Micah House! 💙🏠

Thanks to OTF funding, we’re able to renovate our bathrooms and create a safer, more welcoming and comfortable home for refugee claimant families who are building new lives in Hamilton.

A home should be a place where you can feel safe, cared for and dignified and these renovations help us make that possible for the families who call Micah House home.

We’re so grateful for partners like the Ontario Trillium Foundation who help us continue creating spaces of welcome. 🏠✨

Summer at Micah House ☀️💛 There’s something special about gathering around a table, sharing a meal, playing together, and simply being together.

Our summer picnic was a beautiful reminder that welcome is about more than a place to stay, it’s about friendship, community, laughter, and making memories together.

Since 2008, Micah House has proudly participated in the Ride for Refuge 💙🧡💛

For nearly two decades, this event has helped make welcome possible for refugee claimant families in Hamilton.

Because Micah House doesn’t receive government funding, the Ride for Refuge plays a vital role in keeping our programs running. Every rider, walker, donor, and volunteer helps ensure that families arriving in Canada find safe shelter, practical support, and a caring community.

What a fantastic weekend at the Refugee Soccer Cup! ⚽️

We were proud to join forces with Adam House for a day of soccer, connection, and community building. With participants representing many different countries, cultures, and languages, the tournament was a wonderful celebration of diversity, belonging, and the power of welcoming our neighbours.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the day so memorable. We can’t wait for next year! ⚽️

Ten years ago, Jameel called Micah House home. Today, he continues to give back to the community that supported him - attending events, lending a hand, and showing up whenever he can.

Jameel’s ongoing connection is a wonderful reminder that the impact of Micah House extends far beyond a stay. Thank you, Jameel, for being such a valued part of our community!
