Over the years, our annual Walk for Water has been about more than a 5 km walk. It's been a chance to build community, honour and support loved ones, enjoy good food, and come together to help improve access to clean water around the world.

Swipe to see photos from past walks.

We're excited to carry that same spirit forward as we return to Triple G Ranch in Cottam, ON on June 20th.

There's still time to sign up and join us! To register, walk or support a participant, visit https://internationalneeds.ca/walk-for-water-cottam-2026/.

On October 25, 2026, our Director of Operations Josiah Dueck is running the Niagara Falls International Marathon to raise funds for the children at Real Hope Safe House and Drop-In Centre in Nairobi, Kenya.

His decision sparked an idea for us: one person, one challenge, one decision to turn effort into impact.

From now until the end of 2026, we're inviting others to take on a challenge of their own as part of a larger effort we're calling Rally for Real Hope. It might be something you've been training toward, something you've always wanted to try, or something that pushes you beyond your comfort zone. A run, a walk, a ride, a climb. Big or small, every challenge can help support children at Real Hope.

If you're looking for a place to start, you're also welcome to join Josiah at the Niagara Falls International Marathon on October 25th.

If you'd like to start your own fundraiser and want support getting the word out, we're here to help.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to support Cassie’s 35 by 35 Golf Tournament fundraiser last weekend.

While the rain had other plans and the tournament itself couldn’t go ahead, we’re so grateful for the incredible support and encouragement shown throughout the day. Cassie has now raised CA$28,510 toward her $35,000 goal to help build a new school washroom facility for students in Ghana.

To help Cassie reach her $35,000 goal by her 35th birthday in July, or to learn more about the project, visit:

For many of us, a 5 kilometre walk is something we choose to do for exercise, fresh air, or time with friends.

For many families in Burkina Faso, walking that same distance is what's needed to secure whatever water is available, often unclean or unsafe.

When you participate in the 2026 Walk for Water, you walk with purpose, making clean water more accessible to more communities.

On June 20, join us at Triple G Ranch in Cottam ON or walk 5 kilometres anywhere in Canada. Our walk will help the village of Mana in Burkina Faso access reliable clean water and improved sanitation.

Recently featured in our Spring edition of the LINK newsletter, the Kamlapur Drop-In Centre in Bangladesh provides boys living on and around the streets of Dhaka with a safe and stable environment to grow, along with support in finding the best next step forward.

For some children, that next step is reunification with family, when safe and possible. For others, it’s the opportunity to live at the centre’s residential facility and attend school.

We’re excited to share that in 2025:
• 9 boys were safely reunited with their families
• 20 boys currently live at the Centre’s residential facility, receiving the safety and stability they need away from the streets

Education. Nutrition. Medical support. Vocational skills. A Christian environment.

This is what child sponsorship makes possible. It creates empowerment.

And along the way, sponsors are transformed by their investment in a child's journey too.

Meet Henriette, a student who recently joined the tailoring program offered through tertiary student sponsorship in Burkina Faso.

Before enrolling, Henritte struggled to find meaningful work or a clear vision for her future. Although she had a desire to learn sewing, she had no prior experience and was unsure of where to begin.

That began to change when Henriette joined the tailoring program. Since enrolling, Henriette's skills and confidence have grown immensely. Though challenging at first, with time and guidance she quickly began improving her sewing abilities.

Now, Henriette is able to sew complete outfits and has a clearer vision for her life. She dreams of becoming a professional tailor with a workshop to train and inspire other girls who, like her, have a passion to see themselves achieve greater.

Through tertiary sponsorship, you can help more young adults build purpose-driven futures and gain the skills needed to pursue them.

The 2026 Walk for Water in Cottam is one month away!

Thanks to the incredible fundraising work of Women Making a Difference and Bonavista Church, over $26,000 has already been raised toward the $43,000 goal!

Together, these efforts will help fund two boreholes and five public latrines with handwashing stations in Mana, Burkina Faso, making clean and safe water accessible for everyday use.

Want to see what water projects like these make possible? Hear first-hand from the communities impacted by last year’s Walk for Water, who now have access to clean water and improved sanitation.

Let’s continue the transformation! There's still time to sign up, donate, or support a friend walking for water.
