The benches are in place! 🦁💛

The Rockton Lions Club is proud to announce that all of the commemorative benches along the Rockton Lions PATH have now been installed.

Pictured below, is a bench in memory of Rob “Bert” Edworthy. We're honoured to have his legacy become a permanent part of our PATH.

While all of the benches have now been placed, there are still a couple of dedication opportunities available. If you're interested in one of the remaining commemorative plaques, please reach out to the Rockton Lions Club for more information.

❤️ Giving back to our community, one meal at a time.

On Wednesday evening, Lions Pat, Bre, and Gary had the privilege of preparing and serving a BBQ dinner for the guests staying at Mark Preece House.

Mark Preece House provides a welcoming home away from home for families and individuals receiving medical care in Hamilton, and we’re always grateful for the opportunity to lend a helping hand.

A big thank you to everyone who makes evenings like this possible. It’s amazing what can be accomplished when our community comes together in service. 💙💛

🚜 Looking for a fun local event this summer?

Join our friends at the 1st Ontario Two-Cylinder Club for John Deere Heritage Days, taking place August 8 & 9.

This year’s event is hosted by our very own Lion Bruce McKnight and Karen McKnight at Rocky Cedars Farm (1283 Concession 5 W.).

Be sure to stop by the Rockton Lions food truck while you’re there—we’ll be serving up some of our famous favourites! 🌭🍟

🌟 Congratulations, Paige! 🌟

The Rockton Lions Club is proud to congratulate Paige, recipient of the Rockton Lions Volunteer Award, presented at the Rockton Elementary School Grade 8 Graduation this week.

This award recognizes a student who has demonstrated outstanding volunteerism, community spirit, and a willingness to help others. Paige's dedication, kindness, and positive contributions have made a meaningful difference both within the school and the wider community.

The award was presented by Lion Gary on behalf of the Rockton Lions Club.

Please join us in congratulating Paige on this well-deserved recognition. We wish her all the best as she begins the next chapter of her educational journey!

Another exciting step forward for the Beverly Community Centre Pathway Project! 🦁

Today, the cement pads are being placed along the pathway in preparation for the installation of our commemorative benches.

A special thank you to Thompson Construction and Maplewood Excavating for their work on this phase of the project.

These benches were purchased by community members through our fundraising campaign, and we are excited to see this community-supported project continue to take shape. Soon, visitors will have beautiful places to sit, rest, and enjoy the grounds of the Beverly Community Centre.

Thank you to everyone who purchased a bench and helped make this project possible. We look forward to sharing more updates as we get closer to installation day!
