We exist to increase resiliency and inspire BIG dreams for Canadian children living in low-income communities by providing inspirational experiences and nurturing personal relationships, one child at a time. Our Big Dream:

Ten years ago, seven-year-old Yusef climbed aboard a CityKidz bus for the first time, not knowing it would start a decade-long journey of growth.

Today, as he prepares for college, Yusef reflects on how CityKidz helped him grow from a shy child into a confident young leader. Yusef's story is a powerful reminder of what can happen when a child is surrounded by a community filled with support, opportunity, and hope.

We had the pleasure of welcoming a team from RBC to CityKidz, where they helped pack birthday gifts for our CityYouth.

Each gift will be given to a young person in our program this season, helping them feel seen, valued, and celebrated. The impact goes far beyond the gift itself and will be felt in the smiles, excitement, and joy these gifts help create. Thank you to the RBC team for generously giving their time to help make these special moments possible.

With Thanksgiving this Monday, we'd like to take a moment to celebrate the incredible people who help make CityKidz possible. 💙

Our volunteers give so much more than their time. They help our children feel seen, valued, and loved. Through their care, encouragement, and commitment, they make a lasting difference in the lives of our children and families. Today, on National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we honour Residential School Survivors, their families, and communities, and recognize the lasting impacts of Canada’s Residential School system.

This week, our staff team dedicated time to learning more about the history and lasting impacts of the Residential School system through an organization-wide conversation focused on education, reflection, and reconciliation.

We encourage you to take time to learn more about the ongoing impact of the Residential School system, reflect on the path toward reconciliation, and amplify Indigenous voices, stories, and perspectives.
