Culture of Peace Hamilton

Culture of Peace Hamilton A Culture of Peace is far more than the absence of war between nations. It calls on people everywher

For over a decade, Culture of Peace Hamilton (an offshoot of United Nations in Canada- Hamilton Branch) has worked to apply these principles locally and make them better known. As a framework for social justice these principles provide a common path for groups and individuals from many backgrounds, countries and religions to work together.

Celebrating International Day of Peace (Sept 21) in the Hamilton Peace Garden - 25 years later and the need for these Manifesto six principles to be implemented has never been more critical. Sharing lunch with members of the UNAC Hamilton Branch Board reminiscing about the development of the Peace Garden and especially on those who have passed since Cultute of Peace Hamilton’s inception in 2000- Helen, Rex, George, Brian, Graeme, Chris, Bert, Ray, and Dick - all such advocates and workers for peace in many ways. We miss you all
