Industry

Industry A theatre company, a social experiment, an arts organization for Hamilton. It’s theatre for the new Hamilton, and we’re excited to be a part of it.

The brainchild of veterans of Canadian theatre who found themselves living in and loving Hamilton, and noticing a void in the city’s theatrical landscape. With hundreds of productions between them, from pop ups to Stratford, from coast to coast and around the world, with experience ranging from acting to directing to technical direction to all aspects of production, INDUSTRY promises something new

and ambitious, with an eye to creating pieces and running itself in ways that break from traditional theatre models. When you go to an Industry show, you’re not just seeing a play, you’re part of an experience. INDUSTRY wants to offer an evolving city an evolving theatre, and create a reputation for quality and innovation that will drive people down the highway to something they can’t get in Toronto. INDUSTRY founders are Rick Banville, Anna Chatterton, Matthew MacFadzean and Chris Stanton, and our partners include so many more! https://www.industrypresents.com/company

LEAP: Life Embodied Arts Practice with *Emmy Nominated* Romeo Candido

SUNDAY NOVEMBER 23 | 1PM - 3PM @ Hamilton Artists Inc.

Emmy-nominated director, writer, composer, and CSA-winning producer, Romeo Candido, leads participants through LEAP, a storytelling method for storytellers seeking a more grounded, authentic voice.
In the age of AI, machines can imitate style, but they can’t recreate memory, emotion, or truth. Participants write, share, and begin to see how their own story can grow into something larger. The goal is to write from lived experience; finding the emotional truth of a moment and shaping it through character, want, conflict, and change. In the age of AI, machines can imitate style, but they can’t recreate memory, emotion, or truth. LEAP helps people reconnect with that.
Participants write, share, and begin to see how their own story can grow into something larger: a short film, a play, a series, a pitch or simply a clearer sense of purpose as an artist.

Let’s Write It w Marcel Stewart 📝

SUNDAY NOVEMBER 23 | 10AM - 12:30PM @ Hamilton Artists Inc.
Sponsored by Greenbelt Coffee
Let’s Write It invites you to take a seat at the table—literally. This long-table workshop is part writing circle, part public experiment, and all about process. Led by theatre artist and facilitator Marcel Stewart, the session brings together a small group of writers who will share live prompts, exchange words in real time, and open the table for audience members to join, listen, or contribute their own lines.
Whether you’re a writer, an observer, or simply curious about how ideas take shape, this is a space to play with language, explore unfinished thoughts, and rediscover the joy of writing in community.
A live collaborative writing experiment.. Join a long table workshop where writers and audience members share space, prompts, and process. We’ll write, talk, and reimagine what it means to create together.

Tickets are FREE and available now at the link link in our bio! Spots are limited, so get ‘em before they run out!

FRIDAY NOVEMBER 21 | 7PM - 9PM @ Hamilton Artists Inc.

Featuring an artist panel from various stages and disciplines: Donna Michelle St. Bernard, Carly Billings, Nathan Fleet, and Emma Whale.

Have questions? Opinions? Join the discussion about “making it” in the arts today and creating an artistic life.
