Bruleville Nature Park BioBlitz ๐Ÿ”Ž

Join the HNC and HCA for a family-friendly morning bioblitz at Bruleville Nature Park! Participants will learn how to use iNaturalist as well as field guides to identify the variety of living things in the park. Your observations will contribute to the current Natural Areas Inventory (NAI) and help our understanding of Hamiltonโ€™s environment.

If possible, participants should download the iNaturalist app and create an account prior to the event. Alternatively, participants can bring their own cameras to take photos and upload the photos to the web application at home. A tablet will be available for use if needed. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided.

Join us in stewarding Bruleville Nature Park this Mother's Day weekend! The Hamilton Naturalistsโ€™ Club is hosting a community garbage clean-up to help restore and protect this important urban green space. Volunteers will work together to remove litter, improve habitat quality, and actively steward the park for wildlife and people alike.

All tools and supplies will be provided. Please dress for outdoor conditionsโ€”sturdy footwear and gloves are recommended.

Gardening for Wildlife Workshop ๐ŸŒฟ

Kevin Kavanagh and Dylan Cowan from South Coast Gardens will teach you how to design a space that truly supports birds, pollinators, and more - using native plants, layering for food and shelter, and creating habitat features that provide nectar, seeds, and nesting areas throughout the seasons.

Get one-on-one guidance - bring your plans, photos, or questions and leave with clear, practical next steps for your space. Native plants will also be available for purchase so you can start right away.
