WE’RE BACK AT WORK. WE’RE NOT DONE FIGHTING.

These services don’t exist without the workers who provide them — and workers cannot keep doing this work if they cannot afford to stay.

Chronic underfunding doesn’t just cost jobs. It erodes services, pushes dedicated workers out, and ultimately hurts the people and communities who rely on us.

Our local may be back at work, but this fight was never only about us.

We are still here. Still loud. Still fighting for what our communities deserve.

Because these services — and the people who depend on them — are worth fighting for 🩷✊💜

A picket line may come down, but solidarity doesn’t.

This campaign built more than momentum—it built friendships, trust, and a movement that reaches far beyond any one local.

As we return to the work we love, we’re not leaving this fight behind. Our hearts remain with every worker still holding the line, because this has always been bigger than us. It’s about the future of community services and the people who depend on them.

To every one of our comrades still out there: keep believing. Keep fighting. Your day is coming.

Our strike has ended, but our solidarity hasn’t.

Thank you to every member who held the line, our leaders who never stopped fighting, and every labour ally and community member who stood with us every step of the way.

As Local 262 returns to work, we continue to stand with every local still on strike.

Please join us on Thursday August 6, 2026 in Hamilton to support the 4000 striking OPSEU SEFPO Development Service Sector workers who are now in their 11th week of strike!

The OFL will be hosting a Worth Fighting For Canvass from 10:00am to 12:00pm and then hosting a Labour BBQ from 12:00pm to 3:00pm! All events will be at Sam Manson Park, 80 Nash Rd N.
