Kicking off the third HAFF Time Show, we'll be showing Champions (2023) at 10am at The Westdale 🏀!

After an on-court outburst and subsequent drunk driving crash, minor-league basketball assistant coach, Marcus (Woody Harrelson) loses his job and is sentenced to community service. He is tasked with coaching "The Friends," a local recreation center team of players with intellectual disabilities. This film will have open-captions and descriptive audio.

All good things come in threes...and as we celebrate the THIRD annual Disability History Month, we couldn't agree more ☀️!

We launched DHM in 2024 with one goal in mind: to celebrate disability and accessibility. DHM is an opportunity to reflect on the past so that we may build a more accessible future.

This month, we'll be hosting the third HAFF Time Show at The Westdale theatre 🍿 and sharing more stories...stay tuned!

Earlier this June, the AHA! team had some fun in the sun ☀️ riding adaptive bikes at the Bayfront Adaptive Bike Hub in Hamilton Harbour as part of the Everyone Rides Initiative! 🚲

AHA! members Tim and Mya were joined by McMaster Civil Engineering researchers, Drs. Samir Chidiac and Mouna Reda to complete an accessibility walk through of the Theatre Aquarius building today.

We are pleased to be involved with the theatre and considering how to make the arts more accessible to Hamiltonians of all abilities! 🎭
