🕵️‍♂️ A top secret garden mission awaits next Thursday…

Your mission, should you choose to accept it: become a Field Agent in Training for the evening and join environmental educator and “Climate Special Agent” Grant Linney as we work together to unlock the hidden ecosystem code right here in Gage Park!

Through hands-on tree investigations, environmental detective work, and collaborative art experiences, children and families will discover how biodiversity supports healthy ecosystems and why every living thing — from trees and insects to fungi and people — plays an important role in nature’s network.

Participants will investigate clues hidden throughout the park, observe real ecological relationships, and work together to uncover the connections that make ecosystems thrive.

⚠️ LIMITED SPOTS REMAIN! This invitation will self-destruct once registration fills up…

Our 5th Annual Family Planting Day on Saturday, May 23rd was made possible thanks to the generous support of The Lewis & Ruth Sherman Foundation and the City of Hamilton’s City Enrichment Fund ()!

Even a rainy morning couldn’t dampen the excitement as children and families from across Hamilton came together to help plant this year’s Children’s Garden, creating a living classroom that will grow alongside them and inspire hands-on discovery, curiosity, and connection throughout the season.

Their enthusiasm and dedication transformed a grey day into a celebration of community, learning, and the joy of getting their hands in the soil! 🌧️🌱

We’re so grateful for our funders who help keep our programs accessible and ensure every child can experience the joy of learning in nature. Thank you for helping us grow something meaningful in our community!

We also extend our thanks to William Dam Seeds for their generous in-kind donations that help our garden grow, as well as to the City of Hamilton’s Tropical Greenhouse & Horticulture Department for their ongoing support. 💚
