EcoLocke Hamilton We are a group of individuals from the various churches and faith groups in the Kirkendall neighbourhood of Hamilton, Ontario.

Our goal is to bring about environmental education and action to our community. To think globally and act locally.

What a great event today to learn about and celebrate water. A big thanks to Marie and Elaina as they opened us with a Haudenosaunee Thanksgiving address and water song (turn on the sound to hear). Also a big thanks to our speakers: Mike Christie from the City of Hamilton Water Division, Nancy Hurst from Save our Streams (with a great video from Cllr Cassar about the Garner Marsh), Dani Lindamood from Water Watchers, and Alexia da Poupda from Green Venture.

Thanks to everyone who had a table today to talk about their water initiatives, and to everyone from the community who came out! We all left feeling more motivated to protect our sacred water systems.
