🇹🇷🤍🇨🇦 What an incredible night in Halifax! Last night, we proudly celebrated 102 years of the Turkish Republic and the enduring friendship between Türkiye and Canada at the Pier 21 Immigration Museum — an iconic landmark for immigrants who have shaped Canada for nearly a century.
The Turkish Society of Nova Scotia, together with distinguished members of our community, was honoured to be joined by our Honorary Consul Vehbi Çınar, the Honourable Minister Tim Halman for Dartmouth East, MLA Damian Stoilov, and we were deeply touched to receive a special message from Minister of Immigration Metlege Diab, , marking this meaningful day.
Our most special guests were our CHILDREN— the true stars 🌟 of the night — representing both the next generation of Canada and the heritage of Türkiye. They reminded us of the enduring ideals of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the , whose vision continues to guide and inspire generations.
Hosting this celebration in our new home — with guests traveling from across the Maritime provinces — was a proud reflection of the Canadian values of inclusion and belonging, values that continue to strengthen our Atlantic Canadian community for generations to come.
And a special note — both Tim and Damian will carry the blue eye 🧿 proudly, saying that the Turkish community is keeping an eye on Nova Scotia! 🌊💙
Representation and inclusion matter — for our next generations.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all our Community leaders especially , all our community members, volunteers, business leaders, and partners who made this celebration possible.
Special appreciation to , , , , and for their ongoing support.
