This year is BIGGER than ever we’re proud to announce our biggest scholarship year yet, with $125,000 being given out to deserving students!

Camping adventures with our youth leadership team! ⛺️🌳🌞🔥

It’s hard to find time to slow down. So we took a few days off-grid to do just that. This trip has been an incredible opportunity to connect with each other and with the great outdoors! 🌎 Challenges, games, weather, cooking, long conversations, figuring things out together — this time matters to us.

This is where resilience for our future is built, together. ❤️

But here’s what happens when it doesn’t get fed: in Nova Scotia, 40% of children are food insecure [CCPA, 2025] — and that number climbs even higher for racialized families. For kids in food insecure communities, their fuel runs out before the school day even starts. Hungry children struggle in school because a lack of food impairs memory, focus, and behavior.

At Hope Blooms, we teach youth to grow food — because real, lasting food sovereignty takes work. 🌱

Here’s what that looks like:
🍽️ 25,000+ meals served every year.
🥕 28,000 lbs of fresh produce distributed through our subsidized farmers market (2025).
🍲 151+ free suppers hosted for 250+ families.

We believe food is a right, not a privilege. When kids are fed, they can finally focus on building the future they deserve.
