HalifaxNew Official Launch on October 17, 2015 at Nocturne: Art at Night Festival

HalifaxNEW is an artist led tactic to try and create some change around how we get our work to global audiences by doing it on our own terms. It is a pilot project developed in consultation with the City of Halifax, and will grow in the next few years to encompass a myriad of people, places, and practices evolving the culture of this place. We work on a collaborative, open-minded and adventurous p

Very excited to announce our 3 field locations!

Field location 1: Citadel Hill - Ferris Wheel (Anna Sprague)
Field location 2: Maritime Museum of the Atlantic -Rebecca Reads Nora Reads Molly (2b Theatre)
Field location 3: 1313 Hollis Street -Unconscious Constructions (SuddenlyLISTEN, Kinetic and Mocean, and Tim Crofts)

These sites will be /livestreamed through our webpage, www.HalifaxNEW.org AND can be viewed in our aerial cinemas, located at Halifax Public Library on Spring Garden Road.

Nocturne: Art at Night is a fall festival that brings art and energy to the streets of Halifax between 6 p.m.-midnight. The 2015 event will take place on Saturday October 17. The completely free annual event showcases and celebrates the visual arts scene in Halifax.
