Join us online for a conversation exploring the Homo Faber Biennale: An Island of Light, 2026, through the experiences of artists who participated in Craft Alliance Atlantic Association’s educational mission to Venice, Italy.

30 YEARS OF CELEBRATING ATLANTIC CANADIAN CRAFT.

And this year, we want to celebrate YOU.

The 2027 Atlantic Canada Craft Awards for Excellence are now open, marking 30 years of recognizing the people and businesses who help make Atlantic Canada’s craft community what it is today.

For 30 years, these awards have celebrated creativity, dedication, leadership, and the people who open doors for others. Now we want to hear from you!

Four awards will be presented in 2027:

Excellence in Product Design
For outstanding design, creativity, and craftsmanship.

Outstanding Exporter
For a craft business taking Atlantic Canadian work to new markets beyond our region.

Outstanding Retailer
For a retailer that actively supports and promotes Atlantic Canadian craft.

Industry Leader/Supporter
For an individual or organization making a lasting difference to the craft community.

Direct emails from addresses ending in .ca
If you receive an email or message about these events that does not come directly from Craft Alliance or through the official portal:

DO NOT click on any links.
DO NOT provide personal, banking, or business information.
DO NOT make payments through links provided in unsolicited emails.

Instead, report the message as phishing and/or spam and delete it.

Scammers may use event names, logos, information from our website or social media, and AI-generated language to make fraudulent messages appear legitimate.

Venice, Day 4
What a beautiful final day in Venice.

Our group spread across the islands, exploring Venezia, Murano and Burano, where we discovered new connections, made valuable contacts and found inspiration around every corner.

For our Mission Artists, it was the perfect way to close our time here. A day filled with creativity, meaningful conversations, extraordinary art and the exquisite craftsmanship that makes Venice so unique.

Venice Day 3… what a dream!

Today we visited several of the Venice Biennale pavilions and were blown away by the scale, structure, and curation of contemporary craft pieces.

There is something so inspiring about seeing new ideas, discovering new artists, and experiencing work in such an incredible setting. Learning and discovering new work has never felt more important.
