In just a few days we will be opening our exhibition at COLLECT ART FAIR 2026 ( ). This year we are presenting The Power of Objects: Voices of Contemporary Craft, curated by Bruno Vinhas.

“Craft has always been rooted in the intimate relationship between the maker, the material, and the community.” This exhibition brings together powerful contemporary craft practices that hold memory, resistance, identity, and care—objects that are “at once universal and deeply personal, capable of crossing borders while remaining anchored in the specificity of culture, place, and time.”

Diving into the curator’s belief that “craft can be a tool for empowerment, healing, and cultural continuity, especially in underrepresented or rural communities.”, his curatorial approach  for this exhibition “aims to amplify voices that have historically been underrepresented in mainstream art spaces.” Rooted in Atlantic Canada, the works presented in this exhibition speak to lived experience, tradition, innovation, and social change. “These works are not just beautiful or useful; they are bold declarations, statements of identity, resilience, and a deep longing for a more just and compassionate future.”

Craft Alliance Atlantic Association, is incredibly proud to represent Atlantic Canadian artists on an international stage and to share the richness, complexity, and power of craft from our region with global audiences.
